Sitka Blacktail Deer

A DIY Kodiak blacktail hunt with a yacht as basecamp.

We anchor in remote bays, run you to the beach at first light, and pick you up when you're done. You hunt. We handle everything else.

Kodiak Island holds some of the best Sitka blacktail deer hunting on earth — a generous bag limit, mature bucks, and enough country to keep hunting fresh every day of the trip.

This is a DIY hunt. You bring your rifle, your license, and your tags. We provide the yacht, the float plane in and out of Kodiak, a warm bunk, hot meals, and daily boat access to fresh country along the beaches, benches, and alder draws.

Deer are typically found from tide line to the alpine, depending on weather and season. Early season hunts push high; late season pushes deer down to the beach — often into rifle range from the skiff.

Hunters must hold valid Alaska hunting licenses and Sitka blacktail deer tags. Confirm current bag limits and seasons with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game before booking.
